Sales Policy

Deposits

A 50% nonrefundable deposit is required to hold a goat until pick up. Deposits can be made through PayPal (friends or family, or include an additional 3% for fees) or Venmo. The deposit will be refunded if I decide not to the sell the goat, or if the animal becomes sick or injured. I reserve the right to retain any kid at any point. Adult goats must be picked up within 10 days or the deposit will be forfeited, or a boarding fee MAY be arranged with prior authorization if the pick up exceeds that timeframe. Kids are currently dam raised and the deposit will hold them until they are weaned. Please ask any questions to make sure you are getting a good fit for your needs, but also understand that the first person to put a deposit down takes priority on a purchase, and once animals are listed for sale multiple people tend to inquire about the same animal.

Pick up

Pick up times must be scheduled in advance. The buyer (or agent) will be required to sign a contract (provided below) prior to the goats leaving the property. Any remaining balance will need to be paid in cash. All sales are final, and in order to protect the health of our herd, goats will not be allowed back once they have left the property. Any animal being transported for delivery will need to be paid in full before the animal can leave the property. Animals will be sent with an ADGA application or registration papers, a small amount of food to transition them, and any health records relevant to the animal. Please do not bring other animals with you for pick up. Visitors are currently restricted to the driveway for pick ups to help ensure the health and security of our animals and family.

Herd Health

Animals will be current on CD&T vaccination, and will be given a hoof trim prior to leaving. Our herd is tested yearly for CAE and Johne's (whole herd tested negative April 2020 through TVMDL). Lab work is available upon request. We have never had a CL lesion, so we do not regularly test for that, however all test to date have been negative. Additional lab tests or health certificates requested by a buyer will be at their expense. Animals will leave the property in good health, to the best of my knowledge. Injury or illness will be disclosed to the buyer in advance if there is any issue.
